A partire dal 4 fino all’8 aprile 2022, un gruppo di studenti della scuola superiore di Kavala, in Grecia, giunti a Ferrara, hanno collaborato con gli allievi della classe 4G del Liceo Ariosto. I ragazzi, da ottobre 2021, lavorano insieme al progetto Etwinning “Pathways all over EU” fondato dalla prof.ssa Fogli Giacinta che rientra nel programma Erasmus+ KA121 del Liceo L. Ariosto.
Lunedì 4 aprile gli studenti greci sono stati accolti dalla classe ospitante con la professoressa Fogli Giacinta e guidati da alcune ragazze della 2X, che hanno fatto da guida al gruppo in un tour del centro della città. Nella giornata di martedì si è tenuta una conferenza presso l’atrio Bassani del Liceo Ariosto e sono stati premiati gli allievi vincitori del concorso per il miglior logo rappresentativo del Progetto Pathways all over Europe. Successivamente è intervenuta la Dott.ssa Lepore, coordinatrice dell’Ufficio Integrazione scolastica del Comune di Ferrara, la quale ha fatto il punto sull’immigrazione in Europa e in particolare in Italia. Subito dopo Hidajeta Tutic, mediatrice culturale, ha raccontato la sua esperienza di giovane mamma in fuga dalla guerra in Bosnia-Erzegovina. Una delle studentesse della 4G, Klea, sostiene che ascoltare dal vivo la testimonianza di una donna reduce da una guerra permette di scoprire e comprendere in quali condizioni alcune persone siano costrette a vivere. Questo momento è stato molto toccante e allo stesso tempo interessante. L’ora successiva gli studenti si sono suddivisi in gruppi, lavorando e completando rispettivamente le presentazioni sui temi assegnati. Infine, nel giardino della scuola, si è svolto un rinfresco organizzato dai ragazzi della 4G. Il giorno seguente le classi si sono recate in gita a Venezia, dove quattro ragazze della classe 2T hanno descritto in modo accurato la basilica e la piazza di San Marco in lingua inglese.
Tommaso T. della classe 4G dice che “l’esperienza è stata molto positiva sotto vari aspetti: ho avuto la possibilità di conoscere meglio i ragazzi greci, di visitare luoghi che non conoscevo e di passare del tempo con i professori al di fuori dell’ambiente scolastico”.
Giovedì 7 Aprile la giornata è iniziata con il tour della scuola. Successivamente sono stati commentati i risultati del questionario sull’Agenda 2030, in particolare sugli obiettivi 4 e 10, che evidenziano una netta differenza tra le risposte date dagli allievi italiani e greci riguardo all’organizzazione scolastica del proprio paese. Dai dati emerge che le classi del liceo ritengono che l’Ariosto sia un ambiente inclusivo, simile ad una comfort zone. In seguito, i gruppi hanno mostrato le loro presentazioni, durante le quali hanno esposto gli argomenti legati all’immigrazione. La classe 2G, coinvolta nel progetto sulla piattaforma eTwinning, ha seguito i lavori in videoconferenza, nelle giornate di martedì e giovedì.
Dopo aver pranzato tutti insieme, studenti e professori hanno fatto un tour della Ferrara Rinascimentale presentata da alcune ragazze della classe 2X in inglese. In serata i ragazzi si sono incontrati per un ultimo saluto in Piazza Trento e Trieste, con tanta voglia di rivedersi dopo l’estate. Matteo della classe 4G ritiene che “questo progetto Erasmus+ ci ha arricchito, dandoci la possibilità di conoscere una nuova cultura. Durante la settimana, per interagire con i ragazzi dalla Grecia abbiamo dovuto parlare inglese, aspetto che si è rivelato sempre più naturale e semplice. in pochi giorni, si è instaurata un’amicizia che proseguirà a settembre, quando ci rivedremo a Kavala.”

From the 4th to the 8th of April 2022, a group of students from First Senior High school in Kavala, Greece, stayed in Ferrara and collaborated with the students of 4G of Liceo Ariosto. The students, since October 2021, have been working on the Etwinning project “Pathways all over EU” founded by Mrs Fogli Giacinta that is part of the Erasmus + KA121 program of the Liceo L. Ariosto.
On Monday 4th April the Greek students were welcomed by the host class and Mrs Fogli. Then, led by some girls from 2X, the group went on a tour of the city centre. On Tuesday, a conference was held in the Bassani atrium at Liceo Ariosto and the winning students of the competition for the best representative logo of the Pathways all over Europe Project were awarded a prize. Afterwards, Mrs Lepore, coordinator of the School Integration Office of the Municipality of Ferrara, introduced the issue of immigration in Europe and in particular in Italy. Immediately afterwards Hidajeta Tutic, cultural mediator, told her personal story, her experience as a young mother fleeing the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina. One of the 4G students, Klea, claims that “listening to this witness who has survived a war has been a very interesting and touching experience and it has allowed the students to discover and understand what terrible conditions people live during a war”. Next the students, divided into international teams, worked on presentations on the assigned topics referring to immigration and refugees. Finally a light refreshment, offered by the students, was served in the school garden.
The following day the groups went on a trip to Venice, where four girls of the class 2T accompanied and guided the students in the tour of St Mark’s Basilica and St Mark’s square speaking in English. Tommaso T. of 4G says that "the experience was very positive under various aspects: I had the opportunity to get to know the Greek guys better, to visit places I did not know and to spend time with teachers outside the school environment".
After the school tour, on Thursday 7th April, the results of the questionnaire on the 2030 Agenda goals 4 and 10 were analysed and commented on by students. These have pointed out a clear difference between the answers given by Italian and Greek students regarding the school organization of their country. The data show that students consider our school as an inclusive environment, similar to a comfort zone. Afterwards, the groups showed their presentations and reported about the results of their researches and studies about immigration and refugees. The 2G class group followed the meeting, via Meet, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, as part of the Etwinning project. After having lunch all together, students and professors took a tour of the Renaissance in Ferrara presented in English by some girls of 2X.
In the evening the students met in Piazza Trento e Trieste for a last farewell. They all expressed their great desire to meet again after the summer. Matteo of 4G believes that “this Erasmus + project has enriched us, giving us the opportunity to get to know a new culture. During the week, we had to speak English in order to communicate with our Greek friends, which turned out to be more and more natural and easier. In a few days, true friendship relationships have been established and these will continue in September, when we will meet again in Kavala. "
